Kai Lenny almost loses his furry friend

Kai Lenny went on an e-foil tour of the city’s waterways in New York. He shared the footage of the adventure in a recent Instagram video. The addition of an unexpected companion was his adorable Frenchie named Noodles. Noodles accompanied Kai on his electric hydrofoil while sporting a hot pink doggie life jacket, adding some cuteness to the already exciting adventure. However, as the e-foil glided across the water, a heart-stopping moment unfolded when Noodles nearly lost his balance and almost fell into the waves below.

With lightning reflexes, Kai snatched the dog from the brink of danger and gently pulled him back onto the craft. He captioned the video by emotionally writing, “Quick one day stop in New York. Almost lost NOODLES on our little e-foil tour around the waterways”. A collective sigh of relief echoed in the comment section when the video went viral, showcasing the incredible bond between a surfer and his four-legged fur baby. His ability to act quickly and attentively to save Noodles is evidence of the skill and tenacity he has developed over time. The same technique he used to defeat a gargantuan 70-foot wave in the past.

Kai Lenny has an unquenchable passion for seeking out enormous waves. His moment of triumph came at Nazaré, Portugal, where he conquered a monumental 70-foot wave. This daring feat earned him the prestigious 2020 XXL Biggest Wave Award, presented by the World Surf League. Nazaré is a legendary surfing location that attracts surfers from all over the world who want to ride nature’s giants because of its breathtaking, enormous mountain-high waves. In a gripping interview, Kai recounted the thrilling experience of surfing the Nazaré monster.

He described the wave as a breathtaking fusion of terror and ecstasy, where every moment felt like being in a car crash—an adrenaline rush that few can fully grasp. With remarkable composure and skill, he navigated the powerful force of the wave, leaving the surfing world in awe of his remarkable talent. Despite all the awards and accolades, Kai could never forget the terror of Nazaré. “The terror has not faded. It never will,” he confessed, acknowledging the immense challenge of survival surfing at the iconic surf spot.
