Mark Zuckerberg is an avid surfer. In fact, he has claimed that he indulges in surfing every day. Apart from surfing, the Facebook CEO has also been making a lot of waves recently in the fighting arena. There has been an immense buildup in the past few months about his possible cage match fight against SpaceX founder Elon Musk. However, till the fight materializes, Zuckerberg has been keeping fit by training with a bunch of jiujitsu and MMA stars. One of them is Mikey Musumeci, the reigning ONE Championship flyweight submission grappling champion.

Musumeci and Zuckerberg constantly feature on each other’s social media feeds as they often train together. Most recently, the tables were turned as the student became the teacher when the tech titan decided to give Musumeci a surfing lesson. The jiujitsu master also shared a glimpse of this surf coaching with his fans online.

At 39 years old, Mark Zuckerberg continues to defy expectations, proving that age truly is just a number when it comes to pursuing passions. The Facebook CEO has been practicing a lot of mixed martial arts and jiujitsu, which is evident through his social media. More recently, Mikey Musumeci, who is a 5-time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation black belt champion, revealed another sporting interest of Zuckerberg. In a post uploaded on the American’s Instagram, fans can see Zuckerberg and Musumeci smiling on a boat with a surfboard between them.

Musumeci’s Instagram caption read, “LOOK WHO TAUGHT ME HOW TO SURF TODAY !!!” the 27-year-old captioned his post. “So many hours of training today and also my first time ever surfing (my surf professor @zuck) !! Having so much fun!!!!” The post also included a video that showcased the 27-year-old athlete attempting wake surfing, a thrilling water sport that involves riding the waves created by a boat’s wake.

Zuckerberg was quick to comment on the post and wrote, “You nailed wake surfing your first session! And thanks for the training.” As both individuals swap jiujitsu with surfing, fans are left wondering if the Zuckerberg vs. Musk fight will ever happen.

Zuckerberg vs. Musk might be off

For months, fans have been in a frenzy to witness a potential fight-off between two of the richest people on earth. But the latest comments by an MMA coach indicate that the fight may now be off the table. Khai Wu, who has been instrumental in training Zuckerberg for his potential venture into the world of mixed martial arts, recently shared an update about the status of the Zuckerberg vs. Musk super-fight.

According to a Mirror report, while attending the PFL playoffs at Madison Square Garden, Wu said, “I don’t think Elon wants it and that’s all I can say. The MMA coach further added, “I wouldn’t be surprised [if Zuckerberg fights someone else], Mark is extremely competitive and extremely gifted in his athletic ventures, did a jiu-jitsu tournament and won it which was awesome.”

It remains to be seen whether one of the biggest fights of social media titans will ever happen. Despite that, Zuckerberg continues to train with MMA fighters and often participates in jiujitsu tournaments. Fans can also expect to see Zuckerberg and Musumeci surfing on their off days, as they continue to prepare together for what can be an interesting fight.
