Kelly Slater took to Instagram, expressing his anticipation for the Joe Rogan episode featuring Robert F. Kennedy. Slater captioned his post, saying, “Looking forward to listening. With so much division in the world of politics.” He appreciated having someone with a deep connection to the country’s history who listens thoughtfully and addresses topics respectfully, even when faced with opposition.

As politics can be a difficult area to voice your thought. During the podcast, Kennedy revived his conspiracy theory about his uncle’s assassination, implicating the CIA. When Rogan broached the subject of potential risks if Kennedy were to win the 2024 election.

Given his beliefs, Kennedy acknowledged the peril but asserted, “I’m not naive to that possibility. I take precautions without succumbing to fear.” Highlighting the overwhelming evidence of CIA involvement, he insisted it was “beyond a reasonable doubt.” According to Newsweek, Rogan acknowledged concerns about Kennedy’s vaccine skepticism, dubbing him “a bit loony” in that regard. Kennedy then recounted a pivotal encounter with a mother of an autistic child, which altered his perspective on vaccinations, drawing from his background as an environmental lawyer.

He has the controversial notion that vaccines are linked to autism, despite overwhelming scientific consensus to the contrary. He aligned himself with Mark Geier, a former physician whose license was revoked for administering harmful treatments to autism patients. In matters of healthcare, Kennedy opposes the idea of nationalizing the pharmaceutical industry and is skeptical about implementing a public option for pharmaceuticals. The POTUS candidate emphasized the importance of preventing regulatory capture.
