Both the athlete and his girlfriend, actress Nina Dobrev, shared pictures of their surfing shenanigans on social media. The Vampire Diaries actress was recently back in the surf ranch to better explore her “surfing era”. In the midst of this excitement, Alpine skiing legend Daron Rahlves has elevated the thrill with his own update.

In his skiing journey, this attitude has helped him become the “most accomplished American downhill racer of all time”. Recently, he found himself in the midst of a star-studded affair attended by surfing legends Caroline Marks and Jamie O’Brien. The skiing maestro used this opportunity to show off his readiness to conquer any terrain that came his way.

Daron Rahlves received an invitation to join the Destination Red Bull event and experience the luxury of Kelly Slater’s surf ranch. During his stay, Rahlves could not resist the temptation to hit the waves and experience the thrill of getting barreled. On September 21, the skiing paragon shared a video of himself surfing on social media. He captioned the Instagram post, “Michelle and I celebrating our 20th Anniversary barrel hunting!” 

Thus, Professional surfer Jamie O’Brien chose his time well for extending the invitation to Rahlves. The celebrated skier expressed his thanks to O’Brien, writing, “Grateful for the invite from Florian to join @whoisjob ‘s @destinationredbull experience”. The thrilling video showed Rahlves confidently surfing through a huge barrel with a regular-footed stance.

He got some nice turns inside the man-made wave at Kelly Slater’s million-dollar wave pool. When the barrel began for the second time, Daron Rahlves entered it with a strange boldness and captured the double barrel victory with ease. He shared his motivation for the incredible performance, writing, “My highlights were stacking up from watching JOB get nasty deep barrels to so many others getting shacked, my first exit out of a tube, meeting and hanging with so many exceptional people in the group, meeting #worldchampion @wsl@caroline_markss but most of all what took the top spot was my wife getting amazing waves and getting in the pocket under a wall of water! Love you babe! #happy20thanniversary”.

However, it was not all play for Daron Rahlves, as he was on the ranch for some serious business as well.
