Australia’s Queensland is currently divided into two clashing opinions over the Gold Coast Light Rail construction. Built with a vision to improve the transport facility in the country, it is a crucial project for Queensland’s Gold Coast Transport Strategy in 2031 and for the 2032 Olympics. Till now, the light rail has been built in three stages and is set to execute Stage 4. However, the opposition in Queensland is rigorously protesting against it. Recently, three-time world champion, Mick Fanning also detested the construction agenda urging others to understand the repercussions of Stage 4 light rail in Gold Coast.
