Humans are not the only species on this planet who enjoy surfing. In fact, given their natural advantage, aquatic animals make up the best surfers on the planet. A human being trains in order to perfect a sport, but there are animals in the ocean who are born to surf. One such surf-loving enthusiast is a dolphin. They are creatures who just love to catch and rip the finest breaks.

They not only ride the waves but, like humans, they sometimes even jump out of the waves. One such encounter was recorded and uploaded to YouTube, which shows the magnificent skill of these intelligent dolphins.

The YouTube video shows a dolphin surfing a wave underwater as it anticipates a break arriving. The video titled, This one is gonna RIP!” eventually shows the dolphin emerging from under the water as he jumps out of the ocean at the perfect break. Dolphins have always been great surfers. In fact, they have been surfing for the past 11 million years.

There are various researchers and studies, specifically from Cambridge University, which suggest that the ancient Greeks recorded dolphins swimming off the waves generated by boats. When it comes to their surfing speed, dolphins manage to surf at around 25 miles per hour. At the same time, they can deep dive up to 300 meters. While this particular dolphin enjoyed herself as it surfed, people on the internet were also mesmerized by its performance. To applaud the dolphin’s surfing skills, they took to the comment section of the video.

As the dolphin displayed its skill in the sea, his fans flooded the comment section with their appreciation. One individual compared the dolphin to an iconic character of Th Little Mermaid and commented, “The original aerial…” While another user revealed that this was something incredible and wrote, “The exictement of a dolphin ripping a wave is unmatched bro.” Another user was left speechless by the skill of the dolphin and commented, “Even their kick outs are sick!!!”

LOVE IT” This video only emphasizes the love these intelligent animals share with humans when it comes to surfing. Some researchers believe that these dolphins also use surfing as a way of socializing and communicating with each other. Similar to how humans bond over the sport and participate in events together for a shared passion and love for the sport.
