Terrifying Video Shows Big Wave Surfer’s Unthinkable Act at One of the Most Grueling Surfing Destinations

Surfing is one of the most mind-blowing sports in the world. The art of balancing a wooded board on notorious currents in the sea requires immense caliber and courage. Moreover, people today have taken the sport to another level. Surfers often challenge themselves while taking on waves as high as 30ft. Recently, a surfer created a wonderful surfing spell by performing an aerial trick in the water. His surfing intelligence was hailed by fans on social media.

On May 3, surf filmer, Tucker Wooding shared a terrifying video of him literally flying in the ocean in Teahupo’o while surfing. Fans could not resist appreciating his never-seen act.

Tucker Wooding takes on the waves and does something unusual

In the video shared by Tucker Wooding, the surf filmer swiftly surfs on the engulfing waves. Moreover, after a few seconds of riding the waves, the surfer jumps in the air with his surfboard.

He rotates in the air, does a double backflip, and then falls, splashing into the waves. The 26-year-old shared the video on his Instagram handle with the caption, “Red Bull gives you wings” Double Backflip at Teahupoo.”

Tucker Wooding gained an interest in surfing after watching surf films in his childhood. However, growing up in Washington, Wooding did not start surfing till a certain age. However, once when he was surfing on Huntington Beach, he saw legendary surfer, Kai Lenny also riding the waves. Wooding developed a drive to film Lenny’s magnificent surfing antics. That’s when he gained interest in surf filming.

Ever since he began surfing videography, Wooding has covered many events at Nazaré, Jaws, Mavericks, and Pipeline. However, at times he manages to practice his surfing prowess.

Looking at his mind-boggling surf video, fans were left in awe. Many appreciated his talent.

Fans go berserk watching Tucker Wooding double backflip

Watching an impossible backflip, a fan wrote, “Landing that and riding away might be against the rules of physics” Another fan noticed his rotating stance in the air and drew a comparison of his stunt with a helicopter, “Looks like a helicopter 👏👏👏👏”

A fan drew his comparisons to legend Kai Lenny, “This was a Kai Lenny surf tube exit….but double like this….is something never seen before.” Well, that could be a huge honor to Wooding because he instilled the drive in him to start surfing videography.

Nevertheless, fans were left speechless watching Wooding’s trick, “Wow 🔥🔥🔥 absolutely insane 🙌” and “So great!!!! 👏🔥 Moreover, a fan expressed his thoughts on aerial stunts in surfing, “Aerial should be like this! What matters is the show.”  The fan believed that ultimately the visual of the aerial backflip mattered and Wooding executed it perfectly.
