33-year-old shark attack survivor Bethany Hamilton followed her surfing dream after her horrific injuries in 2003. Even after 20 years of the traumatic incident, the inspirational personality continues to participate in surfing championships. Besides her professional career, Hamilton has created a beautiful family life with her husband Adam Dirks. Recently, she celebrated the love of her life on a special day.

On May 30, Bethany Hamilton took to her Instagram to share a series of adorable snaps of Adam Dirks and her family celebrating his birthday. The surfer also penned down a heartwarming note for her husband.

Hamilton shared videos and pictures of her family life in her Instagram post. The first snap captured a selfie of the Hamilton-Dirks family by a beach. It had Hamilton, her husband, and their three kids, Micah, Wesley, and Tobias. Nevertheless, the surfer also flaunted her baby bump as she is currently pregnant with their fourth child.

Love was raining in the second picture as the couple posed together by the sea. The couple also shared a frame sipping coconut water while looking into each other’s eyes. She added a hilarious video in the post in which Dirks can be seen blowing air in a giant conch shell. Adam’s love for his two kids was also spotted in the last two frames. He was seen spending time with his son and also with his 2-year-old while picking papayas from the tree.

How did Bethany Hamilton and Adam Dirks meet?

Kansas native Adam Dirks worked as a youth ministry and substitute teacher before getting married to Bethany Hamilton. He met the surfer at the church through a common friends circle. The couple bonded over their love for surfing and eventually married each other in 2020 on the north shore of Kauai. On the wedding day, Hamilton expressed to the People, “I look forward to being the best wife that I can be for Adam and to starting our new adventure together,”

Besides several public appearances, they have also participated in the CBS competition series The Amazing Race. With their partnership and understanding, they attained third place in Season 25 of that show.
