After seven years, the skier decided to part ways with her head coach, amid the 2023 FIS Alpine Skiing World Championships in Courchevel and Meribel, France.

Mikaela’s performance for tomorrow was being highly anticipated after the last week’s mess at the Super-G. However, a shocking turn of events between her and the head coach, in the middle of the championship, is something to ponder upon. The decision came out of the blue, and left fans stunned. “Mikaela Shiffrin will be moving forward with new coaching, and will continue to be supported closely by the Stifel U.S. Alpine Ski Team coaches for the remainder of the season and in the future,”

Furthermore, it thanked the coach, Mike Day, for his tremendous contribution to the team over the years.
