With 56 Championship Tour victories and 11 World Surf League records under his belt, the idea of a perfect wave was imprinted in his mind. A decade after the Kelly Slater Wave Company came into form, the 52-year-old gave birth to the Surf Ranch in 2017. Often surfers struggle to recognize the perfect wave. So Slater’s brainchild was the ultimate bliss for professionals and amateurs alike.

Where science meets aquatic finesse, the $30 million Surf Ranch encompasses man-made waves for a seamless riding experience. In collaboration with another genius, Adam Finchman, Slater turned a 20-acre land into a 2000-foot-long lake. Revolutionizing the surfing world has gone up a notch when, after 7 years, an X user acknowledged it again.

The active oldest surfer in the world has never left any stone unturned. 7 years back, with an ignited heart, Kelly Slater executed his dream of creating a soliton wave. In September 2017, the WSL performed the first test in the Lemoore pool with a bunch of professionals. It is a place where enthusiasts enjoy surfing larger barrels. He also kept the youngsters in mind, who wanted to give it a shot. A recent X post of Massimo reads “Kelly Slater’s Surf Ranch creates a kilometer-long perfect bi-directional peeling wave propelled by a train”, and features a kid getting mounted like a pro.

The pool full of trainers are always working towards catching the perfect waves. Moreover, the staggering price of waving in the pool looks like the money is being utilized well. 5-6 waves each cost around $6000-$8500. But the most interesting part is that the riders can come geared up with their boards as well. After all these years, fans are still gaga over the coolest invention.
