The International Surfing Association’s (ISA) event was slated to be a major stepping stone for the Olympic hopefuls and it didn’t disappoint at all. With the seventh day of the event now wrapped, many surfers have already been announced to have punched their tickets to the European metropolitan. The IOC had to take a moment to nod its hat to the winners.

In a recent Instagram post by the official Olympics account, the thrilling conclusions of Day 7 at Arecibo, Puerto Rico have been shared. “It was #Paris2024 tickets galore on day 7 of the 2024 ISA World Surfing Games in Puerto Rico.“, hailed the post as it expressed glee over the titillating action that was on display at the qualifying event. With fourteen individual quotas on the line, the surfers are doing everything they can to qualify for the Paris Olympics 2024, and it has been a well-anticipated nail-biter.

The post then proceeds to showcase the winners of Day 7: Alonso Correa of Peru, Camilla Kemp from Germany, Israel’s Anat Lelior, the Chinese Yang Siqi, and Janire Gonzalez-Etxabbari from Spain.

After staying on the sidelines for most of 2022, Dora made an exhilarating comeback by winning the VIVO Rio Pro in 2023. On the day that Correa & Co. triumphed, Dora once again highlighted his Olympic aspirations with a near-perfect 9.50 points, which is also the highest score of the competition so far.
