Jerome Max Keli’i Holloway is the current star of the octagon in the UFC Featherweight division. The current number 1 in the featherweight category is a remarkable boxer with flashing hands and indomitable power. While things are heading in the right direction for Holloway when it comes to the rings, the ace UFC fighter seems to be having “good times” in unchartered territory.

Few days back, Holloway took to Twitter (X) to give a glimpse of his new adventure. He jokingly said that he might even be taking that up as his new profession. Of late, Holloway came up with a full visual of his adventure that proves he was not merely joking!

Max Holloway’s Surfing Adventure in Japan

Max Holloway, one of the prominent figures in the MMA world, recently uploaded a video on his official YouTube channel where he shared how he stepped into the shoes of Kelly Slater to enjoy a surfing trip at Shizunami Surf Stadium in Japan. In the video, he can be seen with his wife Alessa Quizon heading towards Japan. In the entire video Holloway and his wife can be seen enjoying the waves in the surfing spot. Holloway fell off his surfboard a couple of times but recovered just like a UFC fighter.

Holloway had given a trailer of his new adventure some two weeks back on his Twitter (X). Posting a series of photos and videos he had written, “Had a awesome time over at @surfstadium_jp. I think this will be the start of my professional surfing debut.” In another tweet prior to that, he had posted some more videos of his surfing captioning, “good times”.

In the videos, he can be seen surfing during the nighttime as well. Seems like Holloway has caught the waves well. And he has found a perfect companion in his wife Alessa, who is also a professional surfer. While riding high on the waves off the rings, his career on the rings is soaring as well.

Max Holloway’s exceptional successes in 2023 have made him truly an MMA legend. Currently, as of July 11, 2023, he occupies the topmost spot in the UFC Featherweight ranking and amazingly stands 12th in UFC Men’s Pound-for-Pound rankings. 

Holloway fought Arnold Allen at UFC on ESPN 44 in April, claiming a unanimous decision win in the last round. His amazing ability to stand up for a fight came out once again after defeating Jung Chan-sung at UFC Fight Night 225 through a knockout during the third and one of his best fights yet receiving a ‘Fight Of the Night’ award.

With Max Holloway still ruling the roost in MMA competition, he just takes a much-deserved break with his partner Alessa Quizon. Max and his wife had so much fun exploring the beautiful Japanese landscape that they featured it on his YouTube vlog so that his followers could share in the adventure, too. Interestingly, the video says it is the ‘Day 1’ of their Japanese fiesta. Well, we look forward to having more of this!
