Injuries are almost inevitable when it comes to surfing Sports. Whether it’s a wipeout from the deadly waves or the collision with the coral leaves, every day there’s a new case of such an accident. However, recently a picture of a similar accident of a young surfer groped public attention. The boy shown in The picture was Levi McConaughey, son of the Hollywood superstar, Matthew McConaughey. 

Matthew recently posted a picture on his Instagram handle that has created a buzz all over the social media platforms. 

The post described more than just surfing injuries

The picture shows 14-year-old Levi standing with his back towards the camera with a neon-green surfboard in his hand. However, what grabbed people’s attention were the multiple wounds on his back. While any parent would be worried after seeing the multiple injuries, Matthew on the other side was flaunting the wounds. 

The 53-year-old didn’t get angry about the accident, instead, he called them “Surf Souvenirs”. The surfing community loved Matther’s approach and the way he flaunted the injuries. Fans filled the comment box with heartful wishes and motivation.

Many fans acknowledged Levi’s courage and grace of accepting the injuries instead of giving up. Fans came up with different terms to describe the wounds, “Surf tattoos, we call them at our house”, a fan wrote. However, some showed a bit of empathy for the 14-year-old. “That must’ve hurt.” Another fan expressed their worry saying, “I hope he’s feeling better. Be careful out there when you surf” in the comment section.

Fans bombarded the comment section by cheering up Levi for his dedication to surfing. “Battle wounds !!! Let’s go”, another fan wrote.  Many fans saw the image of his father’s attitude in him as one fan wrote, “Like father like son.” However, the post showed much more than just wounds but the strong character of the 14-year-old. The way he was standing tall with a surfboard in his hand aptly described his courage. “This picture screams out, never give up”, another fan wrote.
