Shark attacks are a rare but serious event that can happen anywhere in the world. While most shark attacks are not fatal, they can still render some very serious injuries. Recently, in a viral video, Nick Kapule, a foil surfer training off Oahu, had a shocking encounter with a massive tiger shark. The incident, which took place in the waters off Honolulu, has left both Kapule and the online community in awe and disbelief. 

Fortunately, Kapule wasn’t injured and is reached the shore safely, but the moment he encountered was terrifying. With a camera in his hands, vulnerable moments got recorded and he shared it with his fandom.

Shark Attack’s new tale by Kapule: The close encounter

During a foil session in the waters of Honolulu, Nick Kapule found himself in proximity with a 15-to-20-foot tiger shark. Kapule, already on edge while foiling about five minutes off the wall from China Walls, spotted a huge grey shadow near him. Overwhelmed by the sight, he couldn’t help but express his astonishment, saying, “Oh… what the heck is that thing!?”

The shark was on the surface, causing Kapule to feel a chill down his spine. Despite his fear, he maintained his composure and tried to distance himself from the shark, hoping it wouldn’t follow him. The encounter left Kapule shaken but grateful for his safety. The footage, recorded by the surfer off the coast of Oahu, has garnered significant attention and sparked various reactions from fans worldwide.

More like 10 feet, brah!” highlighting the discrepancy in estimating the shark’s size. Another fan exclaimed, “Brah, that thing!” reflecting the sheer disbelief at the sight of the massive shark. Reacting to Kapule’s fear of falling, a fan said, “Don’t fall, don’t fall,” conveying their empathy and understanding of the surfer’s intense situation. A shocked fan simply stated, “Holy Cr*p,” reflecting the overall astonishment caused by the video.
