Kelly Slater is one of the greatest surfers of all time and a millionaire with a net worth of $35 million. Besides professional surfing, Slater is also involved in some business companies. He is the founder of a surfing service company ‘Kelly Slater Wave Company’, which provides the highest levels of surfing service and experience. Slater is also widely known for his fit health and punctual workouts which helped him in drawing this long surfing journey. However, he has stated that he will retire from this competition of surfing after the Paris Olympics in 2024.

Slater is one of the oldest active athletes in sports and holds numerous Championships Tour victories. But the athlete’s health does not seem to comply with him lately. Slater updated his fans on his social media about his ill health and how he managed to reach home after that.

Kelly Slater is also widely known for his strict diet plans and health secrets for surfing longevity. The famous phrase ‘age is just a number’ is proven accurately by Slater since his physical and mental health is in the fittest condition at such old age also. Slater has often been interviewed for the same but recently the athlete shared his health update with his fans on Instagram which seems contrary to his well-being.

The athlete asserted- “When my sickness started the other day. On day 5 of being sick. Fever, sinus, chills, headache, stomach flu, etc. Glad I made it home amidst the onslaught”. Slater has been poorly unwell for almost a week now and suffering from various health issues. He also shared a picture of his rising body temperature during his sickness. The athlete mentioned that he managed to reach home somehow amidst his peaky malady. It’s very upsetting for everyone and his fans are now concerned about Slater’s health. Kelly Slater keeps advising everyone to be in therapy in order to balance health according to their age.

Kelly Slater’s health advice to stay fit

Slater enjoys a variety of physical workouts and exercises in order to stay healthy and balance his diet and sleep. For his flexibility and strength at such an age, Slater states- “I think cardio is a big one. With surfing, we’re not into endurance cardio but spread over 30 minutes when you need your cardio to be pretty good. And if you’re surfing a long way, that’s a lot of overall cardio.” This is the life doesn’t of Kelly Slater.
