WCAX issued a public statement, “A kite surfer was saved this evening after he was assisted out of the water Saturday afternoon after crashing into Lake Champlain.” Further, the newsfeed elaborated, “Emergency crews were called near the Burlington waterfront area after witnesses say they saw a kite surfer lose elevation and land in the lake.”
