On the same note, Surfing is a sport that has captivated the hearts of youngsters for so many years. Several new names have popped up in recent times in the surfing world, and fans are left awestruck with their talent. Passion, dedication, and focus are some of the things that matter the most in every sport, and paddling on the turquoise water requires all these elements.

Caroline Marks, a young surfing sensation from the United States who has multiple records under her belt, got candid in a recent interview and shared some insights about focus and dedication.

21-year-old Marks sat down for an interview with WSL, where she talked about her surfing journey and revealed how she has managed to excel in surfing. She also discussed her preparations and strategy for the upcoming Rip Curl WSL Finals. She was asked how she reached the pinnacle of her vocation all while managing her personal life. To this, Marks replied, “I think that’s quite the hardest part for me. I’m on this journey where I want to accomplish my goals so bad. Anyone that’s going to get in the way, you kind of have to eliminate from your life.”

She also conceded she is a lot better balanced than she used to be. Marks will be competing at the upcoming Rip Curl WSL Finals that are going to commence on September 8, 2023. She will be up against the likes of American legend Carissa Moore and Australian sensation Tyler Wright. Marks has achieved so much during her career and has multiple national championships under her belt.

Caroline Marks Surfing career

Marks holds the record of being the youngest athlete to compete in the World Surfing League and is also the youngest surfer to qualify for the women’s championship tour. She has 19 heat wins to her name at an average heat score of 12.07 and an average wave score of 4.20. As far as this year’s title is concerned, she claimed the Surf City El Salvador Pro in June and was runner-up at the Hurley Pro Sunset Beach in February.
