Over the years, Hollywood has produced some iconic movie props. Some of these legendary memorabilia include the Delorean from Back To The Future, the Rosebud sled from Citizen Kane, The Lightsaber from Star Wars, and countless more. These iconic movie memorabilia account for collector’s items and are usually auctioned or sold for mouth-watering amounts of money.

One such prop from the recent blockbuster hit movie, Barbie, is now up for grabs. Reports indicate that the surfing board belonging to the character Ken is now available to Barbie fanatics for a whopping $1 million.

Greta Gerwig’s Barbie has already created history by becoming the first live-action movie directed by a female director to cross the $1 billion mark. There is no sign of the Barbie fever stopping and now, if anybody has $1 million to spare, they can own Ryan Gosling’s surfboard from the hit flick. The prop which is used by Gosling’s character Ken, is now up for sale on Craigslist. The surfboard is listed by a member of the film’s props department, who is also ensuring the surfboard’s authenticity. According to a report by the Surfer, this particular listing was titled, “The Ken Surfboard from the Barbie Movie “The Kenrgy” – $1,000,000 (Hollywood)”

The lister further claims that they have the surfboard prop in his possession and that Ken’s surfboard will be sold to the highest bidder. Although the individual’s identity remains unnamed, the listing makes it clear that this is a first come first surf opportunity. However, there still does not seem to be any update on who ended up acquiring the million-dollar surfboard from the hit motion picture. Surfboards may occasionally pop up on Craigslist, but nothing quite compares to the significance and star power of this particular piece. Not just in movies, but iconic memorabilia from sports are also quite frequently sold off for multi-million dollar amounts. One such Michael Jordan sports memorabilia rank as one of the most expensive items to be ever sold.

Michael Jordan’s $10.091 million jersey

Michael Jordan’s iconic association with the Chicago Bulls franchise saw them winning six NBA Championships together. Last year, his iconic game-worn jersey from the famous 1998 Game 1 NBA Finals against the Utah Jazz was auctioned and sold for a staggering $10.091 million. This feat earned his Game 1 jersey as the most expensive sports jersey to be ever sold. A record that earlier belonged to the legendary Maradona’s $9.28 million jersey. The auction house that made the sale of Michael Jordan’s jersey claimed that they received around 20 separate bids for the legendary basketballer’s jersey. This resulted in the jersey’s price being almost doubled from its earlier estimate of $5 million.
