Along similar lines, facing the wrath of the oceanic turf, Brazilian surfer, Joao Chianca faced a horrific near-death experience while surfing in the Banzai pipeline. Nevertheless, he got wiped out by the big barrel and ended up with severe lacerations.

However, a few days following the mishap, the surfer shared good news on his social media account. His fans and admirers are more than elated to see him coping with this horrific situation. Joao Chianca’s current health update has allowed his family and the surfing community to finally sigh in relief.

Joao Chianca shares good news after horrific surfing accident

Joao Chianca is one of the top Brazilian swimmers who went through a terrible surfing accident while surfing the pipeline, which is one of Hawaii’s most dangerous waves. However, after facing this horrific experience, the surfing hero is now on the road to recovery and the ensuring note shared on social media has shared a breath of fresh air to the surfing world.

The World Surf League Brazil shared a post on their Instagram account announcing the current health update of the surfer. The post carried a picture of Joao Chianca’s family and team.

The caption to the post carried, “We would like to thank everyone for their prayers and well wishes. Joao is on the road to recovery and hopes to be back in the water soon.” They further added, “We would also like to thank all of the first responders and medical personnel at The Queen’s Medical Center who have been caring for Joao. The outpouring of support means a lot to our family.”

This post got an outburst of love from the surfer’s fans as they couldn’t contain their happiness after the update. This was one of the most horrifying surfing experiences faced by Joao Chianca.

The unfortunate accident of the Brazilian surfer

Joao Chianca who is stated as the No. 4 ranked surfer in the world faced a gnarly experience, confronting a near-death experience. One of the most attractive yet deadly places for surfers is the Hawaiian surfing pipeline as it inculcates the most dangerous surf in the US. Here, Chianca met an accident, he never imagined he would. He took a serious wipeout in the waves and was left unconscious.

He was lifted out of a wave and pin-dropped into the water. After this, he hit his head with a solid surface and was left unconscious. Jake Maki, who witnessed everything, stated, “I saw it happen and had a weird feeling that where and how he fell was wrong”. He was immediately helped by the lifeguards and was taken out of the waters as soon as possible. However, now the surfer is doing fine and is on the road to recovery.
