Even Batman and Joker settled their fights in the ocean. Seems like the iconic superhero and villain once decided to go the sports way rather than guns and punches. Recently, an old video clip from the 1966 Batman movie emerged on social media, where Batman and Joker headed for a surfing competition.

Since the younger generation was unaware of a ‘fight’ like this, they were shocked and amused by the video. Here is what happened when the DC universe entered the surfing world.

Batman vs Joker: Surfing edition

A Twitter user named Michael Warburton posted a surfing video clip from the Batman movie on the social media app. In this video, Batman (played by Adam West), is seen wearing yellow shorts while his arch-enemy Joker (played by Cesar Romer), wore green swimming shorts. Soon after Batman challenges his enemy, the two make a quick run toward the ocean with surfboards in their hands.

The Twitter user wrote, “Batman and The Joker take each other on – in a surfing competition. Bonkers. Love it. BATMAN (1967) #AdamWest #CesarRomero”.

Although the video clip took many people down memory lane, young Batman and surfing fans were absolutely surprised to see such an unusual fighting sequence. The comment section of the tweet was as hilarious as the video.

The video also featured a shark, which the action hero shooed away with a ‘shark-repelant’ spray. A fan wrote: “This feels like another jump the shark moment in tv history”
