Free surfer Jamie O’Brien has again stunned the world with his latest surfing adventure. The 40-year-old, usually famous for discovering new surfing spots in the world, did not surf at any water body this time. O’Brien took it to the next level and executed his surfing expedition on the flooded streets of Hawaii. The surfer experienced not only the thrill but also got a taste of the terrifying flood situation in the region.

On June 8, Jamie O’Brien took to his Facebook to share his surfing vlog on the streets of the Kam Highway in Hawaii. As he began his expedition, which resulted in a whole new experience for the surfer.

Like every year, Hawaii is experiencing its flood season. At this time, the water bodies overflow and occupy the country’s streets. Although it is a struggle for its inhabitants, Jamie O’Brien found the best way to take advantage of this situation. In his Facebook vlog, he was seen getting excited about the flooded highway street in Hawaii. With his surfboard, Go Pro, and other members of his team, O’Brien surfed at the densely and shallow-filled streets.

He tied a rope at the back of his jeep. Then, he got on his surfboard and tightly held the rope from its other end. As the jeep started driving forward, Jamie began getting pulled. In no time, he was balancing his surfboard on the flooded Hawaiin streets.

He did not succeed every time he surfed; a couple of times O’Brien ended up losing his balance and falling into the muddy waters. In one of the instances, when he fell in the flood water, he came across a skull of a bird. But a peculiar Jamie O’Brien embraced the good and bad both.

All of O’Brien’s vlogs stun his large fan following. A few months back, he tried pipeline surfing at Waikiki which turned out to be another fun experience.

In April, Jamie O’Brien went to Waikiki to try pipeline surfing. He was excited as he knew that the waves in the ocean there were of a unique size that would be fun to explore. Expressing his eagerness, O’Brien, his girlfriend Tina Cohen, and one of his friends took on the waves. 

They started surfing on the strong grueling pipeline waves. In some instances, they struggled to stand on the waves. After completing his expedition, he shared that there were moments when both he and Tina were trying to surf in different directions but failed to do it. He added in his vlog, “Tina’s looking for right, I’m looking for left, it’s a bad collab”. However, ultimately, it was a fun experience for the surfer.

The best part about O’Brien’s free surfing spirit is that he is never scared to try new experiences. It gives his fans a view of what it is like to surf at different places in the world.
