Allyson Felix was one of the best American track and field athletes and the most decorated track and field sprinter in history. The athlete announced her retirement after the 2022 women’s athletics season, but her legacy of success on tracks continues to reflect her reputation irrespectively of her retirement. A week ago, the steller athlete was interviewed by The Olympic Esports Week 2023, where she opened up about how she is enjoying her post-retirement life.
In her warm life, she is now focusing on her daughter as she always embraces her motherhood more than her athletic self. In the interview, she talked about skiing after her retirement and asserted her passion for staying present for her daughter. She cherishes doing all the minimal things with her family, such as cooking, playing, and spending time with her daughter at home. Despite being a sprinting legend, a six-time Olympic gold medalist, a millionaire, a businesswoman, and making many more titles to her name, Allyson describes herself the best as a mother. Her relationship with her four-year-old daughter Camryn is always cheerful to see. She stated on a social media post, “Being her mama is the best title in the world,” demonstrating their strong bond. They were seen enjoying boating with sunshine at an adventure park.
Although Allyson misses the thrill of the competition, being able to travel with her team, standing in the line, and the companionship spirit of the team of her sprinting career, she is not going back on track and enjoying all the simple things with her daughter. “Post-retirement, I finally had the opportunity to go skiing, and I’ve been waiting forever to do that. So that’s been a lot of fun and just doing things at home, taking my daughter to and from school and to soccer practice and dance and all of those fun family things as well”, told Allyson, describing her fun activities of post-retirement life. However, Allyson also had a hard time during her maternity, which was followed by Camryn’s first month in the neonatal intensive care unit.
