Olympian and two-time World Cup soccer champion Julie Johnson Ertz just announced her pregnancy on Twitter. Following that, wishes came pouring in from all across the internet, including the house of Serena Williams.

Alexis Ohanian, the husband to tennis megastar and cultural icon Serena Williams, wished Julie Johnston and her husband on the news. Johnston will welcome this baby with her husband Zach Ertz, the tight end for the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals.

Clearly, Julie Johnston’s entire fanbase is ecstatic over the news, and so is Alexis Ohanian.

Serena Williams’ husband wishes Julie Johnston and Zach Ertz

Julie Johnston, two-time soccer World Cup champion and Angel City FC player, announced some big news on Twitter today. Married to NFL star Zach Ertz, the couple will now be welcoming a baby into the world soon.

Naturally, wishes came pouring in from all over Twitter after Johnston’s announcement. In fact, one of the most special wishes came right from Serena Williams’ home.

It was Alexis Ohanian, entrepreneur and businessman, and also Williams’ husband, who wished the couple on their baby. “So happy for you both,” Ohanian tweeted to them, congratulating the couple.

Moreover, he even had a really cute plan ahead, saying that he would “make the smallest ‘weareangelcity’ kit ever”. Johnston plays for Angel City FC in Los Angeles, and Ohanian humorously stated that he would prepare an infant-sized kit for the baby on the way.

The elite star couple’s dating timeline

Johnston and Ertz met in 2012, and Zach Ertz was the one who proposed to her in 2016. In fact, for the proposal, Ertz took Julie to the very stadium they met in for the first time.

In March 2017, the two married each other in a beautiful coastal wedding in Santa Barbara, California. Furthermore, for their honeymoon, the couple went to Hawaii.

Consequently, Julie also turned in all her soccer jerseys that said ‘Johnston’, changing them to ‘Ertz’ from that year onwards. Five years after tying the knot, the couple will finally welcome a baby into their lives. “Adding to our starting lineup… Baby Ertz!” Johnston wrote on Twitter along with pictures of the couple.
