“You Are Also the G.(B).O.A.T.”: Nina Dobrev Honored Boyfriend Shaun White With a Special Title Back When He Bid Farewell to Snowboarding

Shaun White and Nina Dobrev are one of the most famous couples in the sporting world. Although hailing from very different worlds, they clicked together pretty well from the first meet. White had no idea who Nina was until they showed up at the restaurant and the staff became pretty excited to serve her.

The pair had met in 2019 but it was in 2020 that they confirmed the dating rumors via Instagram. They have been going pretty strong since, traveling together and sharing snippets of their life on social media.

Shaun White himself is a pretty significant sports entity with three Olympic gold medals. He is undoubtedly the poster boy of snowboarding.

Shaun competed in his first Olympics in 2006 and since then, it had been a pretty successful run for him, until 2022. White bid the sport of competitive snowboarding a goodbye after finishing the 2022 winter Olympics. The last match was an emotional affair for White, and beau Dobrev cheered him up.

As White set up for his last snowboarding match of the Olympics, Nina, sadly, couldn’t be there for him. Owning to their busy schedules and quarantine rules, she couldn’t greet him at the stands. But, it never stopped her from cheering for this talented snowboarder.

The Vampire Diaries actress tweeted, “I couldn’t be more proud. Of everything you have accomplished over the last 20 years as a competitor and the man you have become,” stating that White is one of a kind.

Nina also delved into some giggles as she played with words. She tweeted,  “You will forever be the G.O.A.T. of snowboarding,” Dobrev added. “Not to mention you are also the G.(B). O.A.T. = Greatest Boyfriend Of All Time 😉 @shaunwhite.”

Shaun seems to enjoy it through and through. Shaun once said to People magazine that he and Dobrev had a “beautiful relationship”. 

The relationship timeline of Nina and Shaun

The duo, Nina and Shaun, met in 2019 at a workshop in Florida and decided to catch up after the session at dinner. Shaun confessed to not knowing who Nina was and was thus quite surprised later. Both of them went on a vacation where they finally revealed their relationship to the world and since then the duo is seen touring extensively.

Since 2020, the duo shares moments with each other quite often on social media. From giving Shaun a haircut to playing jokes and skiing together, the couple never misses an opportunity to awe their fans.
