It’s been five years that snowboarding legend Shaun White and The Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev have been together. But it seems like their love has only gotten stronger over the period. From decking up together for Halloween to spending their holidays on mountain tops amid pristine white snow, the couple has been setting relationship goals for both of their fans. And now, the halfpipe superstar once again has a special message for his fiance.

Dobrev and White got engaged last month at The Golden Swan restaurant in New York, but they still aren’t over the emotional rollercoaster that it was. As they settle into their new lives and look ahead to the journey forward, the 3x Olympic gold medalist wanted to thank his stars once again to express his gratitude for having the Hollywood celebrity in his life.

On November 14, Shaun White took to Instagram to reiterate how his heart is overjoyed after being able to surprise Dobrev with the perfect proposal. “Still floating after this night! I’m beside myself to be with this amazing woman and to be joining her beautiful family!! Our quarantine romance turned into this beautiful relationship and now a forever love,” confessed the Olympian without deliberation, as the accompanying video shows wholesome moments from when White decided to go down on his knee and put forth the invaluable question to Nina.

However, he also noted that they have gone through ups and downs over the years like every other couple, but exerted that their love for each other has been able to endure every challenge thrown at it. “It’s our ability to communicate and repair that keeps us moving forward together. I’m so thankful for the life lessons, gratitude, adventure and love that Nina has taught me,” White went on to state further.

But Shaun couldn’t end his message without noting just how emotional things have been for him as he got to surprise the love of his life. “I’m not crying, you’re crying,” he quipped as the snowboarding celebrity promised to give back Dobrev the love she had bestowed upon him. However, White isn’t the only one who’s infatuated with his partner so acutely.

When the thirteen-time Winter X Games winner made the cover of VMAN last year, his Canadian girlfriend was over the moon with White’s achievement. Seeing the couple looking glamorous at the 2023 Oscars, even the fans were quick to urge White to put a ring on Dobrev as soon as possible so they could embark on the next phase of their lives to their fans’ satisfaction.

Comments like “Marry the girl already 💜💜💜,” and “Put a beautiful 💍 on that beautiful woman❣ You two are adorable together❣🥰🥰” flooded the post. Then their love was again on full display as White and Dobrev went on a special vacation for this year’s Valentine’s Day as they did everything from snowboarding to hitting the Super Bowl with a slice of pizza in their hands.

While Dobrev might have concluded who her favorite on-screen husband is, we’re sure that her life with White would be a journey unlike any other.
