Recently, Dobrev faced a setback in her recovery journey due to a bike accident that led to her hospitalization. The actress is renowned for her roles as Elena Gilbert and Katherine Pierce in ‘The Vampire Diaries’.

She shared details of the accident and is currently focusing on recuperating and healing with a sizable brace supporting her injured leg. Being an athlete, Shaun White understands the challenges of injuries and has taken on the role of caring for his girlfriend during this time. The couple’s enduring love and support for each other shine through as they navigate through this period together.

Nina Dobrev shares humorous updates on social media

In a recent Instagram post by Nina Dobrev, the Vampire Diaries star chronicles her recovery journey from a leg injury. She shared a picture of wearing a face mask on the couch, with a knee brace, plasters, and a pair of crutches. The 35-year-old captioned the post, “life looks a Lil different lately. Trading in the “selfie” for the “league.” get ready for the leg content because that’s all I’ve got in my camera roll these days.” 

Along with some adorable pictures of her dogs, she also shared a funny video of her partner, Shaun White emerging from behind a doorway wearing her Vampire Diaries character sweatshirt with “Elena Gilbert” written on the front which is a reference to the iconic CW show that ran for 6 seasons. After shimmying across the floor, he received a “thank you” from a laughing Dobrev. In the clip, Dobrev is heard playfully saying, “You’re out of your mind and I love it,” to which Dobrev replies, “I love you Gilly.”

The former snowboarder is being applauded for doing a wonderful job of taking care of his girlfriend Nina after she had an accident on a dirt bike. The actress also seemed to post pictures from a waiting room and during an appointment while getting her leg checked. In one of the snaps, Dobrev took a mirror selfie, showcasing her fully injured leg with crutches under her arm.

People rally after the injury, praising Shaun White’s support

Many of Dobrev’s friends from Hollywood also praised Shaun White. Aaron Paul, known for his role in “Breaking Bad,“ chimed in with words of praise calling Dobrev a “rockstar!” He further showered his support, saying, “So happy you are resting. Sorry you have to rest but at least you have the best caretaker the planet has to offer.🖤🙏”

Even Arielle Vandenberg, Founder and CEO of Rel Beauty, tried to lighten the mood by saying, “Luckily you have @shaunwhite too wait on you LEG and foot. Get it? Hand and foot but LEG and foot. Okay bye bye.“

To this, her boyfriend responded jokingly, “Just keeping things on brand ♥️.” Since White retired in 2022, the couple has been enjoying their time together.
