The 19-year-old freestyle skier, Eileen Gu, does a lot more than clinch accolades and flaunt her skiing prompts on the snowy slopes. She manages her sporting vocation with modeling and college studies. When she is not busy skiing through sloppy mountains, she can be seen endorsing established brands or donning outfits for various fashion houses.
On 1st May 2023, a multitude of celebrities and elite names from the sporting universe graced their presence at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York for Met Gala. Among many renowned faces, the athlete who took all the social media brownie points was the Chinese skier Eileen Gu.

Recently, the 19-year-old took to her Instagram to share her Met Gala look with her fans. She shared a series of pictures of herself from the Red Carpet. Gu wore a wine-stained modified A-line dress with customized gloves styled by Vogue. Interestingly, the Chinese skier donned IWC Schaffhausen’s rose gold watch on her left hand and posed gracefully for the camera in the first picture.
A glimpse of the red carpet scene followed as the Olympian stood on stairs flaunting her outfit ahead of several photographers flashing cameras in her direction. Tagging American Vogue’s editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour, and the official Instagram handle of Vogue magazine, the Chinese skier penned, “met monday. Thank you @themetgalaofficial @voguemagazine @wintourworld for the most spectacular evening of the year”.

Now, this is not the first time the Stanford University student astounded her fans with her top-notch fashion sense. On 16th April 2023, the model graced her presence at the honorable Breakthrough Prize Money ceremony in Los Angeles and stupefied everyone with her dazzling look.

Gu dazzled in style
The Olympian attended the Breakthrough Prize Money ceremony in an A-lime green gown dress and complimented her attire with a silver bracelet and neckpiece. Sharing a series of stills and videos from the event, the skier wrote on her social media, “Celebrating science in style this evening with Breakthrough Prize”.
