Winter sports fans are living in exciting times right now! As the FIS Ski World Cup returns, the alpine skiing connoisseurs worldwide look forward to titillating events at several venues around Europe and the Americas. The top-tier alpine tournament was kicked off on October 27 at the coveted Rettenbach glacier in Soelden, Austria, and more enthralling events are coming up.
On November 23, the tournament will return to the small European nation at the iconic Hochgurgl in Ötztal Valley, fondly called Gurgl, for the men’s and women’s slalom races. Here, two-time Olympic gold medalist Mikaela Shiffrin will kick off her 15th World Cup season, and understandably, American fans can’t wait to see how she plans to mark her triumphant return. So, what else will make this second stop of the Audi event special in Austria later this month?

The Gurgl FIS Ski World Cup event schedule
On November 23 and 24, the FIS Ski World Cup will appear for the second time on the calendar and will be hosted by the steep and challenging terrain of the Kirchenkar Worldcup Piste in Hochgurgl. To prepare for the upcoming thriller, take a gander at the event highlghts and schedule below.
November 23, Saturday: At 10:30 am, the women’s skiing stars will take to the Kirchenkar course to begin the Gurgl leg of the FIS Ski World Cup. A second run will commence at 1:30 pm. A conveniently located Fanzone Party at the Top Mountain Crosspoint will allow fans to join in on the fun between runs. Following the women’s prize-giving ceremony at the finish line, celebrations will continue with Diamond Beats, a live DJ set at Gurgl Carat, starting at 5:00 pm. At 6:30 pm, the men’s draw will kick off, followed by more DJ performances.

November 24, Sunday: The second day of the Gurgl slalom will see the men in action at 10:30 am. The second race of the day will be held at 1:30 pm. The day is expected to pan out similar to the previous day, and fans should have their money’s worth. However, for the fans from the USA, it will definitely be Saturday that makes them all hyped.
