The venue for the Audi Ski World Cup finals, which will take place from March 22-27 next year, has been decided. It will take place in the Sun Valley resort located in Idaho. The FIS gave them ratification after they finished work on their World Cup course and their base area infrastructure. The resort has a long history related to hosting ski racing competitions.
They hosted the Harriman Cup, the first international ski race in North America. It started in 1937 and ceased to exist in 1977. In all of these forty years, Sun Valley Resort remained their host. The place also hosted its first-ever FIS World Cup in 1975. Most recently, they hosted the US Alpine Championships back to back in 2023 and 2024. Thus, they’re not new to skiing at all.

Speaking about getting the opportunity to host the FIS World Cup again, the Sun Valley Resort GM Pete Sonntag said, “We’re proud of our mountain and believe it will provide a great test of the world’s greatest skiers, but we’re even more proud of our community and the way this small western town can rally around an event of this caliber. We’re thrilled for athletes, families, and travelers worldwide to come experience the best of Sun Valley.”
