The video captured a 360-degree view of the unfortunate incident. In the beginning, the skier was seen smoothly skiing on the icy mountains. However, suddenly, he fell prey to a deceiving snow circle that turned out to be a massive crevasse. Failing to ski in the right direction, he slid into the dark crevice. His deep fall appeared to be absolutely unreal in the video. Moreover, his GoPro captured chilling glimpses of the densely fragmented snow.
Luckily, he managed to prevent himself from falling any deeper by wedging his skis into the sides of the glacier. As soon as he stopped on a silver ledge, he began panting and took out his climbing equipment from his bag. Moreover, he was also heard mumbling something in French that indicated he was thanking the almighty. The Twitter page that shared the video, captioned it as “Watch as a skier falls into a glacier”
But did he make it out safely?

FOX News revealed that the man narrowly escaped any injury. It identified the survivor to be a 36-year-old man named Les Powtos. He shared the video on his Instagram handle a week ago. Moreover, the place was recognized as Meije Mountain which is above the La Grave village, France, in the Swiss Alps.
A Mirror.co.uk interview with one of Powtos’s friends, Thibaut Arnould, revealed that the incident took place a year ago. He added that the video was shared this year to spread awareness about such mishaps while skiing.
