Tony Hawk and Jason Ellis have had their own podcast for a while. While Hawk is a skateboarding legend, Ellis has juggled a lot more roles. Ellis has been a former radio host, a professional skateboarder who even held a Guinness World Record for a few years, and even an MMA fighter. They are different and so is their podcast, which is named Hawk vs Wolf.

Recently, the duo took to their podcast’s official social media to post an update. However, for a brief moment, they almost scared their followers with their post’s caption.

It was an Instagram post by the official Hawk vs Wolf podcast account that almost sent their fans into a frenzy. The post showed multiple slides of Hawk and Ellis surfing. Accompanying the post was the caption, “Breaking news: Jason and Tony have given up podcasting to chase man-made swells in a quest to get pitted across the globe.” While fans might have felt shocked about not getting to see more engaging conversations from the duo, there was still some caption left. It continued, “Not really, but can you imagine? Us neither. New show Monday… and we surfed.”

Before bringing their unique set of skills to form the Hawk vs Wolf Podcast, the pair had parted ways with Sirius XM, where the skateboarding legend had been doing his Tony Hawk’s Demolition Radio for 15 years. With an unfiltered and in-depth look at skateboarding, music, and the extraordinary life of a superstar athlete, Hawk vs Wolf rarely disappoints. They even take it up a notch and delve into the cultural and societal themes that intertwine with the world of entertainment. Some of their podcasts include conversations on the recent alien findings, bringing in stars like Lil Wayne and Seth Rogen to the show and they even have an appearance from The Undertaker on their show. In fact, The Undertaker shared a gruesome story on the podcast about how he almost lost his eye.

When The Undertaker almost lost his eye

Earlier this year, in an episode of the Hawk vs Wolf Podcast, The Deadman himself opened up about the untold stories behind some of his most notorious wrestling injuries. One of them was a harrowing encounter with Mabel that nearly cost him his eye. Recalling the incident he said, “The doctor goes, ‘you’ve lost about 50 percent of your orbital floor.’ Excuse me? You need to go home and find an ophthalmologist and a surgeon.” The seriousness of the whole ordeal only hit him when he discovered that he actually lost a staggering 90% of his orbital floor, leaving his optic nerve precariously resting on a jagged piece of bone.

It was such a tense situation that another blow to the right side of his head could have potentially resulted in the loss of his eye. The Undertaker revealed he underwent a life-saving procedure that required the expertise of two skilled surgeons. They worked diligently to remove all the bone fragments and skillfully implanted a synthetic orbital floor to preserve his vision. These are the kind of unheard stories and anecdotes that can be frequently heard on the Hawk vs Wolf Podcast. With guests ranging from all walks of life, this exciting podcast has the potential to go the distance and become an even bigger hit.
