A small slip up isn’t denting Sky Brown’s sheen
In her final wave, Sky Brown stood on the cusp of securing her qualification. However, she dashed hopes of Olympic surfing glory when she fell short, finishing in third place during the crucial sixth repechage. Despite her best efforts, scoring 4.53 and 4.33 in her two attempts, she totalled 8.86, behind competitors Yang Siqi of China and Janire Gonzalez-Etxabarri of Spain, who secured their spots in Paris with scores of 11.83 and 11.43, respectively.
