Tony Hawk is the first name that pops up when anyone talks about skateboarding. But a 22-year-old skateboarder recently created a buzz all over social media when his skateboarding videos started getting more views than the Birdman. Josh Neuman, an American Skateboarder and influencer suddenly rose to immense popularity through his exceptional skateboarding skills.
In May 2019, the skateboarding star posted a video on his YouTube channel that later became one of the most-watched skateboarding videos. The video soon crossed a magical mark of more than 100 million viewers on YouTube.
A downhill skateboarding video that created a sensation

Josh was seen skateboarding downhill on a treacherous with many twists and turns. Any other skateboarder would’ve given it a second thought, but Neuman had no doubts about it. He displayed some exceptional skills during the 5-minute video.
Neuman justified the title of his video, “Race Against The Storm”, as he furiously kept moving down the road with great speed. The sound of the wind clearly depicted the fierceness of his movements. He made some of the sharpest turns, without once losing his balance.

The confident body language of the 22-year-old described his temperament, and faith in his skills. There are a plethora of such videos on his YouTube channel shot across different parts of the world. Maintaining a perfect balance along with constant acceleration was the highlight of his videos and brought him global limelight.
Unfortunately, almost a year back, the star skateboarder lost his life in a plane crash. On February 7th, 2022, The Associated Press reported that the American Skateboarder, along with three other men, died when a sightseeing plane crashed into a lake in Iceland.

To honor the memory of Josh, his family started a charity foundation. Six months back his parents posted a video encouraging more volunteers to donate. While the skateboarding community lost a star, his legacy stays on in his followers’ memories.
