“Enjoys My Guttural Screams of Pain”: Tony Hawk Takes a Dig at Wife for Taking Pleasure in His Suffering Back in 2015

One of the greatest skateboarders of all time, Tony Hawk, is a nation’s pride. A dominant name in skateboarding, ‘Birdman’ became the first person to perform a documented ‘900’ skateboarding trick. Unlike many of his contemporaries, his passion for the sport made him earn a licensed video game named after him. A pioneer of the sport, his professional life was undeniably a success, full of multiple glories.

But the same can not be said about his personal life. After having three failed marriages, Hawk finally found his love in Cathy. Marrying her in 2015, the two now enjoy marital bliss. In a recently unearthed post, Tony is seen sharing a sweet gesture by his wife with his fans!

Skateboarding is no child’s play. To perfect the tricks, one needs hours of practice and dedication. In a throwback video from 2015, Cathy aptly catches Tony’s ‘journey to perfection.’ Winning 70 contests in his 17 years of professional career, Tony had spent countless hours practicing.

Now, catching the best of her husband’s emotions, the proud wife makes the special video, where she can be seen pulling Tony’s leg. Sharing it with the fans, the skateboarding legend writes, “My wife made this edit of my #SonySpiral battle. She enjoys my guttural screams of pain, frustration & defeat.”

The video does not capture Hawk maneuvering his stunt to perfection; it rather shows him falling multiple times. It shows Tony’s dedication and ‘never give up’ spirit, the same fighting spirit that has set him apart from his contemporaries!

Calling it to quit with Matt, Cathy formalized their divorce in 2011. During that time, Tony also separated from his third wife. Finding love after their previous failed marriages, the two tied the knot in 2015. Speaking about his unique relationship with Cathy, the legend quotes, “we connect on a deep level in terms of our approach to life.
