The Astana Indoor Meet for Amin Tuyakov Prizes 2024 is well and truly on in Kazakhstan. Several American stars including Andre de Grasse and Diamond League Champion Tobi Amusan are in action in the ongoing event. However, for now, the U.S. has suffered a major blow in the shot put event.
National Champion and five-time All-American Champion Roger Steen was among the favorites to clinch a medal at the Astana Indoor Meet. But he has been hit and hit hard by a victorious throw-in from a British athlete.
American Champion hit hard by British Shot putter at Astana Indoor Meet
In the latest update, American Shot Putter Roger Steen suffered defeat at the hands of British athlete Scott Lincoln, and ranked second in the Men’s Shot Put event at Astana Indoor Meet. Steen threw 20.58m while Lincoln edged him by 0.23m.
