Competing in the finals of the 25m pistol event at the 2023 European Games, Salukvadze’s stellar performance guaranteed her participation in the upcoming Games.

Although she narrowly missed a medal, finishing fourth in the event, her qualification for Paris 2024 was an extraordinary achievement. With this milestone, Salukvadze now shares the record for the most Olympic appearances with legendary Canadian Showjumper Ian Miller. She already made history in 2020 when she broke the record for most Olympics appearances by a woman. Nino Salukvadze’s journey in the world of shooting began in 1988 when she made her debut at the Seoul Olympics. Displaying a remarkable showcase of skills and talent, she clinched a gold medal in the 25m Pistol event and a silver in the 10m Air Pistol. Her prowess continued to shine, and she secured a bronze medal in the 10m Air Pistol category at the Beijing Olympics in 2008.
Alongside her Olympic successes, Salukvadze has also claimed victories in the World Championship and European Championship arenas. Her most recent triumph came earlier this year at the ISSF Grand Prix in Croatia.
