The magical duo of Tanner James and Wyatt Cox yet again stole the show at the Heber City Rodeo. The cowboys were completely in sync and mimicked each other’s movements with awe-inspiring precision. Interestingly, the team roping performance from James and Cox was nothing short of perfection, as they completed their run in just 4.9 seconds.

The crowds gathered at the Heber City rodeo ground were mesmerized by their coordination. The video of this moment was uploaded on social media and brought attention to the talent of these two young rodeo stars.

Tanner James and Wyatt Cox had recently participated in the team roping event at the Livingston Roundup Rodeo. The rodeo took place between July 2 and 4, during which time they managed to exhibit great skills. They secured $3,238 each by scoring 4.3 points against the top competition in the event. This competition fueled them to do better and increase their total earnings beyond the $300,000 mark. James and Cox exceeded all expectations at the Heber City rodeo, impressing both the audience and their fellow competitors.

In the video clip shared on Twitter, the duo could be seen chasing after a young bull on horseback. Tanner James wasted no time and threw the lasso around the bull’s neck. The announcer in the background was ecstatic at the wonderful aim and shouted, “A royal grande California” at the top of his lungs. The two cowboys worked with hidden signals to coordinate their movements and successfully brought the bull under control. The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association also celebrated the performance on their Twitter account, stating, “It was poetry in motion for Tanner James & Wyatt Cox in Heber City, winning with a 4.9-second run”. The announcer at the rodeo also declared that James and Cox have been enjoying great success since last year.

Tanner James & Wyatt Cox Continue Dominance on the Rodeo Circuit

This was a major highlight in their career, although the pair had immense success in 2022. Tanner James ranked 36th, and his partner ranked 22nd in the world standings list in 2022. Cox, already a veteran in rodeo, had won the Ogden Pioneer Days held in Utah in 2022 with partner Jaxson Tucker. He had previously chosen Tanner James as his cowboy partner in 2021 for the Glennville Round-Up Rodeo and also won the competition.

Tanner James is also not a lightweight when it comes to the sport. He won the Resistol Rookie of the Year award in 2022 and also came first at the PRCA. With this victory, they have proven once again that their partnership is a winning combination.
