In a recent woman-to-woman series, with Ari Chambers, the reigning Olympic gold medalist at pole vault and a 2x World Champion, Katie Moon took the baton in her hands to explain the atrocities of not being in the right mindset while setting out to achieve their goals. She advised the woman athletes to not fear their fears but to come out of their comfort zones to clinch their names in their respective fields.

Keeping in mind her collaboration with the USATF, Katie Moon acquainted her audience with some prized enlightenment from her experiences. Encouraging her fellow woman athletes with her invaluable advice on the occasion of ‘Women’s History Month’, she geared up to publicly talk about her struggles, challenges, and all-time motivation to stay at the top.

One step at a time is the key, per Olympic gold medalist

Team USA’s official Instagram handle posted Katie’s thoughts with the caption, “Just go for it“. In the Woman-to-Woman series, the reigning Olympic gold medalist in the pole vault of Team USA, Katie Moon tells woman athletes to face their fears and, “Just count to three and go.” She then comes back and adds, “Or don’t even count, just do it. It’s scary, and it’s big, but take that step and take it one step at a time. Pretty cool things can happen if you just believe.”

Katie Moon also believes that she takes sport as her additional self and that its success does not determine who she is. She credits her family for the same because it is they who keep her humble enough, even after her great wins in the Olympics and other championships in the past. Currently focused on the 2024 Paris Olympic Games in August, she has several other events lined up, preparing her for the final destination.

Events lined up ahead of Paris Olympics 2024

Ready for a clash at the Wanda Diamond League on the 10th of May 2024, Katie Moon will be representing Team USA in Doha. Recording a 4.90m in the World Athletics Championships in Budapest last August, she is all set to outperform in the upcoming event, post her recent injury that led to a decent third-place finish in Glasgow, clearing 4.75m.

The 2x World Champion stated, “I had a frustrating build-up to the World Indoors due to an Achilles injury, but I was so happy to walk away with some hardware for the US. Now I’m looking forward to building back up for the outdoors and returning to Doha, where I opened my season with a victory last year.” With this, she would be setting her sights on the glorifying Paris Olympics scheduled in August 2024.
