Laura Kenny added that just as she was getting accustomed with her routine and back to being happy, she tested positive for Covid in January. Although she did not exhibit symptoms associated with the disease, she was “feeling really very unwell.” The next day Kenny was diagnosed with ectopic pregnancy and had to be admitted to the emergency unit. It must have been a frightening situation for her because she states, “Scared doesn’t even come close.” As a result, she was rushed to the operating theater where one of her fallopian tubes had to be removed.
