The Paris Olympics 2024 will start on 26 July, and this year will be a historic one in Olympic history with the opening ceremony being held outside a stadium for the first time. As Seine gets ready to host the grandest event, ticket mania is spreading like wildfire in the sports world.

Paris Olympics 2024 tickets go live

In a surprise announcement, Olympics.com revealed a new phase of ticketing from February 8 at 10 am CET for sports enthusiasts around the world. Tickets for each discipline will be up on sale which will include the lifetime opportunity of witnessing the tennis masterclass in Roland-Garros Stadium, fencing in Grand Palais, and equestrianism in Chateau de Versailles. While Paris is expected to witness record numbers, visitors will also get the opportunity to witness the opening ceremony for free on the banks of the Seine River.

The starting price of tickets is $25.80 for football while Rugby Sevens will start from $107. Over 45% of the tickets will cost less than $107. While tickets for each sport will be put up for sale, 95% of those will be for the events taking place in Ile-de-France. The number of released tickets hasn’t been specified yet but it won’t be long before they eventually dry out. So, it will be a ‘first-come, first-served’ sale this year to witness the extravaganza in Paris .

Tickets for basketball, boxing, and more

The tickets for Boxing matches at North Paris Arena start at $107 where finals of Men’s 57kg will take place. The men’s handball matches at South Paris Arena will start at $155 while the women’s group stage football match at Saint-Etienne will cost over $25. The Archery elimination rounds at South Paris Arena will start from $107 while the Basketball group match at Pierre Mauroy Stadium will have tickets starting from $54.

On the other hand, the opening ceremonies of the Paris Olympics 2024 will take place in the Seine River, first time outside a stadium in Olympics history. While some of the places will require tickets, most of the banks of the Seine will be free for fans to watch their favorite athletes parade through the river. And sports enthusiasts all over the world are excited to grab this opportunity.
