As reported by rnz. co. nz recently, Alicia Hoskin from the New Zealand kayaking team is in utmost prayer to receive help from others. Previously, her determination already defeated a life-threatening Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome. But this time, Alicia’s cause revolves around having a squad of support staffers, including biomechanics, breathing specialists, and nutritionists, before the Paris Olympics 2024. “We do get good support from Canoe Racing New Zealand and the Olympic Committee but when we’re working on improving tenths of a second, our team often invests in additional resources and services,” Hoskin said, narrating her need. Moreover, she has spilled more beans about heading to the fundraising program.

In the upcoming kayaking battle, Alicia Hoskin has counted the Eastern European countries remaining ahead of them by a slight margin. So to shave that gap off, the 24-year-old sportsperson has backed a full-proof preparation. Eventually, in the Tokyo Olympics, the Lisa Carrington-led K4 500m team, Alicia Hoskin played her part to keep the team in fourth place in the final, missing the bronze medal by a whisker. So, the team relies on the support staff most of the time. “All these extras are self-funded so that’s where my family and I decided to run a hospitality fundraising event to help with all of those things,” she described. Backing this effort, Alicia Hoskin has some plans in her mind.
