Every year the NHL holds its All-Star Weekend event. During the weekend, various events like skill competitions, where some of the best players in the league show off their skills, happen. However, often the All-Stars game is the prominent attraction. However, this year’s All-Star Weekend in Florida failed to impress ice hockey fans. The event became controversial even before it began, with PETA and 37,000 supporters sending a petition to the NHL. Now, the National Hockey League has announced the host for next year’s All-Star Weekend.
However, the sentiment of the fans remains the same. After posting the 2024 All-Star Weekend details, fans on Facebook reacted negatively. Most fans didn’t seem impressed and pointed out this year’s shortcomings, while others didn’t like that Toronto would host the most awaited event on the NHL calendar.?
