Wayne Gretzky wore that jersey for the last time in 1988. Gretzky took the Edmonton Oilers to their fourth Stanley Cup victory in the same jersey. No doubt, this piece of cloth was supposed to be the most expensive one, as it was worn by the greatest ever to step on the ice. However, it is secured in the elite Sports players’ club along with Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods who sold their wearables for millions

The NBA star sold his 1998 Finals jersey for $10.1 million last year in September. This made the jersey the most expensive item of the Jordan club. 

Even the legendary golf player Tiger Woods became part of the elite group after selling his red polo shirt for $139,348. Woods wore the polo in the 2010 Masters final.
