The first ice hockey game is always a memorable experience. The atmosphere of a stadium full of fans, the excitement of two teams trying to outplay and beat one another on the ice, for an NHL fan, their first live game is always fantastic. However, neither four-year-old George nor his parent could’ve expected his first hockey game would become a memorable experience for all hockey fans. George attended a game between the Detroit Red Wings and the Vancouver Cucnucks. However, the four-year-old became the center of attention when the jumbotron spotted him.
The 4-year-old’s family carried a sign with his name that read, “It’s my first game.” As the jumbotron showed George’s face, everyone in the stadium also found out it was his first time.

Fans showed their admiration for George. The entire stadium cheered loudly every time the jumbotron focused on the child. The four-year-old Red Wings fan didn’t understand why everyone cheered when he appeared on the giant screen, but he enjoyed it. When he finally cracked a smile, the ice hockey fans in the stadium erupted into cheers.

The fans also didn’t enjoy it when the giant screen showed other people. They jeered especially loudly when the jumbotron showed Vancouver Cunuck fans whose team is having a miserable season. George also went viral on social media. According to his mother, he didn’t know the fans cheered for him and was happy that the “red team” was winning.
