Wayne Gretzky’s Daughter Paulina Once Snubbed Her Father To Instill a Major Honor for Dustin Johnson: “Just There for Each Other”

It is no secret that Wayne Gretzky and his daughter Paulina Gretzky are very close to each other. On several occasions, Paulina has admired her father and called him “the best”. However, once after Wayne’s daughter gave birth to her first child, she snubbed him of a prestigious title for her golfer husband, Dustin Johnson.

But what title could the pro-golfer Johnson possibly snatch away from the ice hockey legend? 

Son-in-law steals a title from Wayne Gretzky

Although Paulina and Dustin Johnson tied the know earlier this year, the two have been dating each other since 2013. The two are known for their on and off-the-golf field PDA and romance. They are also one of the most famous couples in the sports field.

In 2015, the couple welcomed their first son Tatum. During a conversation with People Magazine back then, Paulina talked about their son and how great Johnson was as a father. She said, “Dustin’s the best dad. He’s my best friend. He’s been so supportive with me, and we’re just there for each other.” Just like Paulina had often called her father Gretzky “the best dad”, she used the title to describe her now-husband, Johnson.

In 2017, Paulina gave birth to her second son River, with Johnson. But neither Paulina nor Gretzky have ever talked about snubbing the “best dad” title from the former hockey player. Maybe the father and son-in-law share the prestigious title given to them by Paulina.

However, it was not just Paulina who snatched a title from Gretzky. Once his wife Janet Jones also revealed how certain two boys were the most important to her.

Paulina Gretzky and Dustin Johnson are parents to two lovely boys – Tatum and River. The two kids are also highly adored and loved by their grandparents Wayne and Janet Gretzky.

Once during an interview, Janet also revealed that she “can’t even breathe without” her grandsons. Although she loves Gretzky, her grandsons are the most important to Janet. Both Gretzky and Janet often spend time with their grandchildren and share cute pictures of them on social media.
