Nevertheless, the All-star skill competitions already pulled off the curtains to the most exciting weekend of the All-star break. Interestingly, the game gave fans a treasure trove of memorable moments to take home. One such moment came in the form of a partnership between the two NHL rivals.

Last night, Washington Capital’s Alexander Ovechkin teamed up with Pittsburgh Penguins’ Sidney Crosby to perform the Breakaway Challenge in Sunrise, Florida. But this is not what stole the show. Ovechkin’s 4-year-old son, Sergei Ovechkin also joined the forces with his father and Crosby to participate in the event. The team together chalked up a perfect score of 40 and won the breakaway challenge title. Following their win, Ovechkin and Crosby gave a picturesque pose for the camera, which later became a topic of debate between Ovechkin and Crosby’s fans.
