The NHL All-Star game is one of the most awaited nights for ice hockey fans. Fans keep close tabs on the smallest development related to the big night. Even the slightest news grabs eyes from all across the world. Once again, the preparation of ASG is becoming the topic of discussion, though not in the way organizers would want to.

On 31 January, Florida Panthers posted a video of the making of the ice rink and logo for the upcoming game. The FLA Arena of Florida is going to host the star-studded match this year. Hence, the preparations for making compatible ice were going on for a long time. While the makers would have expected to receive appreciation for their work, the reaction from viewers didn’t come accordingly.

Seeing the time-lapse video of the Panther logo getting removed confused the audience. It appeared that the Panther’s logo was juxtaposed with the iconic All-Star Game logo. A fan expressed this confusion in the comment box. “I am so confused by this video. How did the ASG logo appear by the Lamborghini driver over the eyes repeatedly? Was the all-star game logo put down under the additional layers of eyes before the Panthers logo?”

Another fan claimed that the organizers had made this logo last year only and then covered it with a layer of ice. “It was there since they put the ice in last fall as they knew the all-star game was there anyways, so just shave it down and it’s already there,” he wrote.

Some of the fans didn’t like the fact there were multiple brand names written on the ice, which showed how the administration is running behind in money. “Honda, Verizon, Enterprise, AutoNation Cat and Baptist all in one photo. Pathetic,” he wrote in the comment box

There was also a fan who felt that “The all-star game is a waste of time!!!!!” Tampa Bay’s fans also made his presence and said that the arena has seen lighting’s dominance and wrote, “Lightning players own that ice.” We need beautiful ice for the games that count there were players falling all over the place Friday and Saturday night,” another fan suggested.
