Although Wayne Gretzky is the goat of the NHL, he never forced his children to follow his legacy. While his son Trevor Gretzky tried his hands at baseball, which is one of Gretzky’s favorite sports, he could not succeed in the sporting field like his father.

However, seems like Trevor was more interested in acting, just like his mother, American actress Janet Jones. Once the upcoming Hollywood star revealed his mother’s long-awaited wish for him.

While promoting his 2022 action film ‘American Siege’, Trevor Gretzky sat for an interview with Forbes, where he talked about his parents’ role in his career. After realizing he could not meet the mark in baseball, the legend’s son decided to follow in his mother’s footsteps. And Jones, was extremely supportive of her kid.

“Growing up, I always wanted to act. I studied it a little bit. My mom always wanted me to get into it,” Trevor revealed during the interview. However, the move from minor league baseball to acting was not easy for the young actor. Being a star kid added more pressure on Trevor, as social media can be cruel at times.

But the Gretzky kid was unaffected by any negative comments or headlines. He further disclosed, “I got off social media and put my head down and went to work trying to get into as many films and as many jobs as I could. I’m just going to keep on doing that.”
