Being a self-proclaimed intellectual and a know-all, it is astonishing to learn that Rogan was shaken by the unusual practices in the game of ice hockey.

Ice hockey, officially recognized as Canada’s national winter sport, isn’t just a team sport in pursuit of hitting a goal. The players are allowed to get into a fight and settle their disputes right in the middle of the game. Moreover, they are governed by a set of rules and a referee. A fight in an ice-hockey game is a common sight for the players and viewers. However, it is as bizarre as expressed by Rogan. He remarked how guys engage in brutal clashes with “crisp punches with technique.” In addition, he shared the players are trained to fight.

Furthermore, he said, “It’s the only sport where you can fight.” The celebrity podcaster made a vivid comparison of the game and the fight describing how normal it is in the sport. “You practise hitting the puck. Yeah! Okay. We’ll practise beating the f*** out of each other.”

Moreover, he exclaimed that there’s no other sport where “we could fight bare-knuckle in the middle of an ice-skating rink at the drop of a hat.” However, the consequences of the fight are dire; could result in penalties, fines, or suspensions.

A fight begins when two players confront each other and drop their gloves. The beginning of the fight is indicated by a whistle blown by the referee. During the fight, the remaining players leave the rink and go to the benches. The fight continues until a player hits the ice.
