When winter approaches, Canada heaves with snowfall. From shoveling the blizzard from the driveways to snowplowing from automobiles, Canadians have to put in extra man-hours to remove the snowdrifts around their houses every winter season. However, the Edmonton Oilers’ superstar, Connor McDavid, has rather an adept trick up his sleeve to get rid of the white blanket from his driveway.

Connor McDavid has achieved many prestigious accolades at a very young age. Nevertheless, it is not only the ice rink where the 26-year-old flexes his prowess but McDavid also is an adroit champion outside the field. Interestingly, the NHL prodigy once revealed his methodology for handling ice in the season of frost in his homeland.

In November 2022, the Canadian appeared at a post-match press conference. While he answered a couple of questions revolving around his game, one reporter took the 26-year-old by surprise, as he asked him, “When you wake up this morning, are you a shoveler?”

 As a native of Edmonton, Alberta, which is one of the coldest regions in Canada, McSaviour came up with rather an interesting response. He jokingly told the correspondent, “I am actually lucky enough to have a heated driveway”. He further added, “so it just kind of melts”.

Interestingly, responding to McDavid’s reply, the journalist praised him by saying, “Smart Veteran move!”. Clearly, the 26-year-old has come up with an adroit solution to solve a seasonal problem. Nonetheless, Alberta indeed gets in subzero temperatures sometimes.

The Canadian lives in a posh neighborhood in Edmonton, Alberta. While Alberta houses a breezy spring and summer climate, it becomes really chilly in winter. Interestingly, McDavid once conceded with the frost that Canadian winter induces. He asserted, “We live in Edmonton, Alberta, which for people (who) don’t know, is a very cold place”.

However, the young NHL champion has a solution at hand to keep his driveway free from snow. Whether it is ice hockey or the ice induced by natural causes, McDavid knows how to keep everything in check.
